Me and mine Feb c

Me and Mine – February 2020

It seemed like February was a month of washout weekend thanks to the storms that seemed to race in one after the other, so it’s quite nice to have these family photos to remind me that we did actually have a few breaks in the wind and rain!

On one chilly but dry weekend we went for a walk along the beach at Swansea bay, exploring the treasures exposed by the halfway-out tide.

We walked along to the cenotaph for a change, and then stopped there to take these pictures.

In case you ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes of these photos, you might like to know that these particular pictures were taken with the camera balanced on a huge pile of sand.  Very high tech!

Every now and then I’ll take our tripod out with us if I know we’ll be taking family photos, but most of the time we just hunt around for somewhere to sit the camera once we’re out.

We’ve just benches, walls, tree stumps and now big sand piles to get photos over the last few years.

It gets to be almost a fun game after a while, seeing what you can use instead of a tripod to get photos of all of us together.

What’s the most random thing you’ve balanced a camera on to get a photo with you in it?!
