Welcome to This Glorious Life, the family lifestyle blog with a side of psychology.

This is my little corner of the internet where I write about family life, parenting, psychology and photography.

I like to keep things positive around here, and hope that anyone who stops by for a visit will leave feeling happy!

About This glorious life

That’s me, the person behind the blog.

I’m originally from Kent but have been living in Swansea for the past 18 years, and Wales is very much home to me now.

I am a wife, a mummy, a blogger and a portrait photographer.

I love photography and created an instagram community #ShowYouWereThere to encourage more parents to get in front of the camera with and for their children.

In a nutshell, I’m a coffee-drinker, netflix-binge-watcher, sea-air lover working away to build a life for my family that is truly glorious!

About This glorious life

The man alongside the person behind the blog.

Steve is the main reason I stayed in Swansea after I graduated from university.  He grew up here and knows more than anyone else I know about Swansea history, especially all the old houses.

In a nutshell, he’s a coffee-drinker by day, bourbon-drinker by night, creative photo taker, Swansea history knower, 3D digital image creator, fast-walker, knowledge-hoader who also happens to be the love of my life.

About This glorious life

My seven year old son.

His name means ‘ardour’ and couldn’t be more apt.  He is an energetic, passionate child and he changed my world completely when he arrived back in 2011.

In a nutshell, he’s a minecraft-lover, youtube-watcher, run and jump arounder, constant-talker, sensitive bundle of energy who I love in a way I didn’t fully understand before I became a parent.

About This glorious life

My five year old daughter.

In a nutshell, she’s a pink-lover, make-believer-player, charlie-and-lola-watcher, puddle-jumper, skirt-twirler, stick-picker-upper who makes me smile every day.

She is tall like her daddy, and strong too.  She likes to run around with her brother and his friends and gets stuck in with the rough and tumble, but at the same time she likes pink and sparkles and dresses and hair clips.  She is a mass of contradictions and I am loving getting to know all the quirks in her little personality.

About This glorious life
