I am absolutely loving the fact that, just like June’s siblings project photos, this month’s pictures are from a gloriously sunny trip to the beach.
We went for quite a quick swim and play last weekend, and promised the children we would go back one evening after school to make up for having to leave earlier than they would’ve liked.
And we made good on that promise on Friday.
The timings all came together really nicely and we got down to the beach at high tide and it just looked stunning. We were worried it might not be warm enough for the children to swim, after a few cooler days here in Swansea. But they ran straight into the water with no fuss whatsoever, just happy to be back in the water splashing and swimming around.
These photos were taken once they’d worn themselves out a bit and dried off enough to get dressed again.

These children, they honestly have no idea how lucky they are. To be able to simply pop to the beach on a Friday evening and swim in the sea. Sometimes I take it for granted too, after living here for almost 18 years.
Other times though, I stop. And I just breathe it all in. And I remember again how lucky I am.
This life of mine, it’s certainly not perfect but it is pretty damn glorious at times.
