I wasn’t particularly organised with the siblings project this month. So my photos of Rhys and Nerys together were just taken on a grassy patch outside our house after a trip to the library.
That being said, I’m still really happy with them. I was lucky that the children were in a good mood and happy to humour me and pose for pictures.
The shots that I got have a lovely springtime vibe to them thanks to the patch of forget-me-nots that the children were sitting by.
This little grassy area is just to the side of our car park, and really is just a little bank with patches of flowers on it. But the children have always loved it, running up to the top of it whenever they have the chance.
It’s quite steep in places though, so even now I feel the need to hover around at the bottom to make sure they don’t stack it when they come back down!
I don’t think that feeling ever really goes away does it. As parents I think you slowly let your children move away from you, but there’s always that part of you that wants to keep standing nearby, watching, ready to jump in and protect them if they need it.
