Well here we are, the end of another week and the end of the school summer holidays. I hope everyone has had a great summer, and has jumped in lots of photos with their families! Thank you so much to everyone who has been sharing their photos with #ShowYouWereThere over on Instagram.
Here are my four favourites from the last week.
First up is this lovely photo from Jax at Jax and Joseph.
It’s really made me feel nostalgic for that baby bubble that you exist in when you have a newborn around.
B a b y • B u b b l e 👶 _________________________________________ Those first 6 months ❤️ of course it gets better with every month they are in your lives, but that baby bubble you are in at first, there is no feeling quite like it, is there?! It feels as though there is nothing else that matters! You know when your buggy is so fresh and prestine, and you walk around like the proudest and only Mum in the world 🌎 is it bad that I want a new buggy when I have another one 😂 I know I definatley won’t be allowed but I’m not really good with driving my buggy around and I don’t have spacial awareness, so it’s basically battered 🙄😝
My second pick is from Kayleigh at Little B and Me. This photo just makes me smile, mainly because of the contrast between how beautifully put together Kayleigh looks, and the face that Bryson is pulling. That, and the lovely comment from Kayleigh about how she feels about him, you can’t beat a mother’s love can you.
♡ This kid is just 😍 ♡ He is so perfect, except his absolutely monumental tantrums. . . We do good together, he is my priority. . . #beinthepicture #Bestfriends #realparenting #familygoals #unitedmotherhood #uniteinparenthood #uniteinmotherhood #honestmotherhood #Themommydiary #acupofmotherhood #parentinglife #Smiling #Makememories #pblogger #bloggingmama #thismamawears #mamarazzi_square #showyouwerethere #rememberingthesedays #lionessmama #motherhoodunfiltered #themagicofchildhood #littlebandme #toddlerlife
Next up is this gorgeously sunny photo from Katy at Hot Pink Wellingtons. Katy’s photos are always really lovely, and this one is no exception, the expression on Max’s face is just perfect!
Sharing this because this was supposed to be our plan for today – sunflower hunting! Instead I spent the morning at the emergency dentist after totally freaking out last night that I was going to need about three teeth removing. I've had pain for a few days now and it ticked all the boxes for an abscess. After a very nervous wait in the dentist's chair, it turns out my teeth are fine, I have sinusitis! Such a relief and I'm so grateful to the NHS staff who work on a bank holiday weekend (why does this stuff always happen on a bank holiday?)
My final pick for this week is from Charlotte at Mummy Fever. Another one that just really made me smile thanks to her son’s classic reaction to being told to ‘say cheese’ for a photo!
Thank you so much to everyone who is using #ShowYouWereThere, I love seeing your photos popping up over on instagram, they always bring a huge smile to my face!
Now my turn.
Well, Steve’s turn again this week. We’ve spent a fair bit of time at the beach at Swansea bay recently, and Nerys has been getting bolder about splashing about in the sea.
She absolutely loves jumping over/in the waves when they come in, and she loves it even more when Steve’s there to give her a helping hand to jump extra high!
These are the moments for me that I’m so happy I have photos of. The posed photos are lovely, don’t get me wrong, I do like a good picture of us all saying cheese and looking at the camera. But more and more I’m loving these photos of real moments.
These are the things I hope my children remember fondly when they look back at their childhood.
If you’d like to join in with my little community and possibly be featured in my next round up (with a nice link back to your blog!) then just share a photo of yourself over on instagram using #ShowYouWereThere. It’s all about getting more parents in more photos. And if you’d like to take part in my guest post series ‘The photo I’m thankful for‘ then take a look at this post or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
