Living Arrows 2018 – 48/52

‘Tis the season.

The season for coughs and colds and runny noses.

Last week it was Nerys’ turn to feel particularly poorly.  She’s had a lovely chesty cough, a sore throat and snotty nose.  She powered through most of the week but on Thursday night she was awake a few times in tears, with a temperature and saying her throat was hurting.

So on Friday I kept her home from school to cwtch up in the warm and rest.  It seemed to do the trick luckily and she was much better in herself over the weekend.

We had a pretty quiet day at home on Saturday, and then on Sunday we went for a little walk in Clyne woods after swimming lessons.

We didn’t venture too far into the woods this time, as both children were quite tired and not really up for too long a walk.  But we did go to the spot where Nerys hid a painted rock that we found in Singleton Park a good few weeks ago, and she was quite pleased to see that it had gone.

We’ve found a few of those rocks this year and we all really enjoy being part of this big game of sorts.  There’s something really fun about finding them and then deciding where we’ll take them to hide them again.

At some point we’ll get some stones of our own to paint and hide, I think that’s something both the children would enjoy.

Have you done this with your children?  Or have you not come across this whole painted rock thing where you live?
