I have a feeling that in years to come I will look back at this summer and remember it as being the summer of lurgy.
Whatever this virus is, it is working its way systematically through the family, taking us down one by one.
And it seems that its next victim will be Nerys.
We went out for a walk through Singleton park yesterday, to see the stunning flowers in bloom in the botanical gardens. Then we stopped off at a little play park behind the shops for a play on our way to get milk and bread.

You wouldn’t know it from this photo but it was at this point that Steve and I both started to suspect that Nerys might be next on the virus’ list.
She just didn’t seem to be coping with anything at the park.
It was like her resilience just vanished, and her energy levels dropped to next to nothing. And once we were home it was then a battle to keep her awake long enough to have some dinner and a bath.
A dose of calpol at bedtime seemed to help perk her up a bit, but we’ll just have to wait and see now if she can prove to be stronger than me and Rhys and stop this nasty little bug in its tracks!
Is anyone else finding this summer just seems to be welcoming in one bug after the other?!

I hope she will be alright! Nothing worse than having a little one ill. #LivingArrows
Fingers crossed this bug will go easy on her. Nothing sucks more than a poorly baby especially in the summer holidays! #LivingArrows
Thank you, she isn’t quite herself but seems to be coping ok so far with it, bless her. x
Aww, bless her! Max has been the same, he’s just not able to do anything, but keeps insisting he’s fine, doesn’t need calpol and doesn’t need to sit down and rest. Although today he did announce he was tired and to go for his nap – a first! I hope she’s feeling better soon. #LivingArrows
Oh bless her. I hope whatever it is passes quickly! x
Oh no, I hope she feels better soon x #LivingArrows
You’re right, I’d never tell from this photo – it’s great! We seem to have had a really long, lingering bug that just won’t quite go away this summer. I hope this passes soon for you. #livingarrows
Haha, thank you! There seem to be quite a few bugs going round this summer that don’t want to go away, not fun! x
We have been exactly the same this summer. Both my kids have just not been themselves and it’s hit me and hubby too it’s no fun. I hope Nerys is feeling better soon x #LivingArrows
Oh poor thing – and all of you! I hope she didn’t end up being too poorly and is now recovered from whatever it was. #LivingArrows
Oh no! Hope she is ok and that you have all recovered! We are spending the whole summer packing up and getting ready for an international move. No illness – touch wood, but it is literally my biggest fear that someone will get sick! We just don’t have time to be sick right now!!! Hope you are all better and able to enjoy the end of the hols. xx #LivingArrows
