4 must-visit cities in Spain

This is the time to spend hours upon hours trying to come up with the best travel destination for your summer holidays.

Spain is always the right choice!

Spain receives millions of tourists every year, all year round. It’s not incidental that it has the reputation of being a “party animal country”. Everywhere you go in Spain, people are welcoming and super hospitable, making everyone feel at home with their warm smiles and their positive energy. And they know how to have a great time.

Although Spain is a big country, the positive and fun vibes can be found everywhere you go. A road trip or simple one-day trips to neighbouring areas will be enough to see it for yourself. By hiring a car on Enjoy Travel, you can be certain that you will get a modern and reliable car to hit the Spanish roads! And you should definitely head in the direction of one of the cities below.

City 1: Madrid

Of course, the capital of Spain is the first item on our list. People who love big cities will fall in love with Madrid for sure. The modern architecture coexists with the maintenance of historic buildings, creating a unique and intriguing character.

One of the first things that you must do in Madrid is visit the Museo Nacional del Prado, or the Prado Museum in English, where you will find an extensive collection of works of art mostly by, but not limited to, Spanish painters.

City 2: Barcelona

Let’s move to the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia, an autonomous community in the northeastern part of the country.

When you google Barcelona, FC Barcelona, one of the most famous and most successful football teams, shows up. Whether you like football or not, a visit to Camp Nou, the stadium that has been FC Barcelona’s home, is a must.

Other spots that you shouldn’t miss are Sagrada Família, which is an impressive cathedral, La Boqueria, which is a mediaeval but still operating food market, and Barcelona History Museum.

City 3: Seville

Another city that is totally worthy of your time is Seville. It is the capital of the autonomous community of Andalusia, and it is situated in the south of Spain.

Similarly to all the cities mentioned above, you will be left speechless from the grandeur and the classic beauty of the city.

One of the most memorable things in Seville is the Plaza de España, which is in the Maria Luisa Park and there is a huge palace with a canal in front of it.

City 4: Mallorca

Since it is summer, we should include an island to our list. Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic islands. It goes without saying that you will spend most of your time there checking out beaches and swimming in clear and turquoise waters.

However, you should save some of your energy if you want to explore the island. The quiet villages like Petra and Deià, the vibrant capital city, Palma, and the great number of caves all around the island are hidden gems that are worth discovering.
