Week in review – Sunday 1st March 2015

So that’s another month gone then – this year is speeding by!  We ended February with a busy week that included:

  • Rhys switching from afternoons to morning sessions at nursery school.  I think we’ve handled the transition quite well so far – we were there on time every day and there was only one day where I took Nerys still in her pyjamas!
  • Nerys joining in with the actions to ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ – I was so proud when I realised what she was doing!
  • Going to see Rhys and his class singing Welsh songs as part of a mini St David’s day concert.  I was so impressed with how he’s managed to learn all the songs, considering we don’t speak any Welsh at home other than ‘nos da’ at bedtime.
  • Nerys having the best night’s sleep in ages (only waking at 1 and 5).  Then having the worst night’s sleep in ages the following night (waking every hour to 2 hours).
  • my baby girl celebrating her first birthday!  I spent the day feeling all contradicty – it felt like the last year had flown by, but at the same time it felt like a hell of a long time since I was in the hospital giving birth!
