My children are quite used to the sight of me with a camera in front of my face, snapping away while they go about their business. And for the most part they’re great about it, and are even pretty cooperative when I get up close and ask them to look right at the camera for me for the headshots of them that I try to do every day.
Every now and then though, they’re not in the mood for it.
And I end up with a photo like this one, with a child who is very carefully avoiding looking at the camera, quietly saying ‘cheese’ and trying very hard not to smile!

As much as I may want lovely photos of my children, sometimes I have to cut my losses and call it a day. Sometimes they just really don’t want to play ball!
Other times though, I get lucky, I stay ready and get rewarded with a gorgeous cheeky grin like this one!

They’re both lovely pics! She’s a doll! My Small Boy not only now refuses to pose for photos but actively goes out of his way to make sure I never get a good one as he ALWAYS sticks his tongue out!!
