Rhys has always loved lining things up. Ever since he was little he’s enjoyed putting his toys and books in nice straight lines. One of my friends told me that he most likely had a particular schema; he was probably a ‘connector’. Then a few weeks ago I read a fab article that completely reinforced what Jen had said to me.
In ‘Does your child have a schema?‘ Annabel writes about how ‘connectors’ love laying stuff out, doing jigsaws and constructing things. Summed Rhys up pretty well!
He was busy playing on the big windowsill in our lounge yesterday, as I was wondering what on earth I could photograph for the letter V, and I spotted that he’d very carefully lined up a load of his toy dinosaurs. Well, I’m no expert on dinosaurs but I’m going to claim the lead one here as a Velociraptor. It’s close enough for me anyway!
Do your children like to line things up too? I love that little quirk of his personality!

Lucas says – There’s not a lot to say about this photo except that I wanna give you guys an XXL MEGA High-5!! Yep – I line my toys up like this too 🙂 #alphabetphoto
Haha, big high five back to you fellow liner-upper! x
That’s a great V, and I love the photo 🙂
Thanks, I was starting to struggle to find a good V until I spotted him doing this! x
I love it when children do this. what a cute picture to remember this stage by x
Thank you! We’ve got various photos of things lined up from the past 4 years! x
