‘Show you were there’ round up

It’s Sunday morning, and that can only mean one thing.

Time for another round up from my little Instagram community #ShowYouWereThere.

My first pick for this week is from Ruth at Mummy and the Mexicans.

This little bump photo just made me smile so much, especially when I read the caption saying that her 4 year old had taken it.

Showing a little bump! A week ago, 16 weeks pregnant and a rare photo of me taken by my favourite four-year-old photographer! Who then went on to fill my phone with pictures of EVERY SINGLE flower in this garden! I have to say this bump looks much bigger from my point of view looking down on it! It's also bigger in the evenings. I'm sure there'll be more bump photos to come… #pregnancy #bumppic #beinthepicture #showyouwerethere #mylifeincolor #mycolorstory #capturingcolor #flashesofdelight #thehonestlens #visualcrush #explorerkids #curiouslittleexplorer #throughtheeyesofachild #theirwonderfulworld #livethelittlethings #lionessmama #kcacols #mamapreneurrevolution #livingfearlesslyauthentic #16weekspregnant #takingphotoseverywhere #kidphotographer #littlephotographer

Next up is this lovely shot from Leah at Home Family Life.

I really love this moment that’s been captured, as if Leah and Tommy weren’t really aware the photo was being taken.

We had a lovely day at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield. Although it didn’t quite end as we’d planned. . . . While there we decided to take a walk on the nature trail. Tommy loved it. He got to go on a little adventure, looking at flowers, streams and finding sticks to pick up (he’s obsessed with sticks 😂). . . . This photo was taken right before there was an almighty thunder and lightning storm ⛈ It was a little scary being amongst the trees with lightning above our heads. There was even hail and of course we got drenched through. Luckily we’d brought the second seat out for our @babyjogger city select so Tommy could take cover. . . . But I am grateful for a cooler evening. . . . . #nationalminingmuseum #familydays #familydayout #dayoutwithkids #thunderandlightning #daysoutwithatoddler #familyoffour #familyof4 #rememberingthesedays #oureverydaymoments #britishsummer #britishweather #lovelifeoutside #thebestineveryday #showyouwerethere #beinthepicture #lionessmama #snaphappybritmums #wanderlustkids #whatevertheweatherkids #whatevertheweather #savouringtheseason #awanderfulchildhood #parentinglikeabrit #todaysmomentintime #letsgolittles #explorekids #discoverunder5k #themommydiary #pblogger

My third choice is from Sabrina at The Mummy Stylist.

Sabrina’s photos are always just so much fun and this one is no exception.  I love all their hats and the expression on her son’s face, just so happy!

My last pick for this time is from Alex at That Butterfly Effect.

This is another photo that is just so joyful I couldn’t not include it in this round up!  Look at all those happy faces, just perfect!

Thank you so much to everyone who is using #ShowYouWereThere, I love seeing your photos popping up over on Instagram, they always make me smile so much.

Now my turn.

My mum has always said that she can tell when a photo of me was taken by Steve, because of the way I’m smiling.

Looking at this photo that he took of me recently, I think I know what she means!

Show You Were There

If you’d like to join in with my little community and possibly be featured in my next round up (with a nice link back to your blog!) then just share a photo of yourself over on instagram using #ShowYouWereThere.  It’s all about getting more parents in more photos.  And if you’d like to take part in my guest post series ‘The photo I’m thankful for’ then take a look at this post or email me at thisgloriouslife@gmail.com for more information.

Thanks for including me. I think it’s a really important message to share. I’m not a fan of my photo being taken, but try where possible to get family photos and photos with my boys. x

You’re welcome! I think so many of us would happily stay behind the camera, but it is so important to get in photos for our families. x
