We have a pretty regular weekly routine, Nerys and I.

Every Monday we take Rhys to school, then head to the supermarket to do the weekly shop.

Some weeks we go to Parc Tawe and go to Lidl.  Then we get to have a little wander round Home Bargains afterwards.

Other weeks we go into town to get a few jobs done before heading to Tescos by the marina.

Last week was a town and Tesco week.

I had to pay a few cheques in, and wanted to pop into Wilkos for a few bits.  Nerys loves it in Wilkos, because she gets to go up and down the escalator.  It really is the little things that brighten your day when you’re two!

While we were there she started telling me that she really wanted to get some paint.  That was all she wanted.  So we wandered over to the arts and crafts section, and managed to find 4 little pots of paints, perfect for finger painting.

She was so excited!

Normally when we get home she helps me unpack all the shopping and put it away.  But this week, all she was interested in was her paints.  So I let her get stuck in straight away.  She didn’t even stop to take her hat off!

She must’ve spent more than half an hour sat at that table painting.

And every few minutes she would look up at me, with a big smile on her face and say “this is so much fun!”

You can’t ask for much more than that can you!
