Living Arrows 2018 – 10/52

I have a feeling we’ll be one of the only families not sharing a gorgeous snowy photo for Living Arrows this week!

It seems like Swansea was pretty much the only place in the UK not to be hit by the beast from the east and storm Emma.  We had a bit of snow, enough to cover the drive up to our house but not enough to go out and play in.

I was quite disappointed for the children because they would love to have a good amount of snow to have a snowball fight and build snowmen.  They didn’t seem to mind too much though because, thanks to the warnings that the bad weather might reach us, school closed early on Thursday and was shut on Friday too.

So we had a nice long weekend, cwtched up in the warm.

On Sunday though we felt it was time to venture out so we took the children’s scooters out for a little run around Victoria Park.

It’s been ages since we last took the scooters out with us and I forgot how much fun the children have on them, and how confident they are on them now.

Rhys has really got the hang of his, and can pick up quite a bit of speed now he’s feeling more sure of himself and his balance.

They both especially loved whizzing through the puddles in the park, and trying to make it from one side to the other without having to put their feet in the water.

They had so much fun we didn’t even go into the swings for a play; Rhys and Nerys were happy just to scoot around and then head back home for some dinner.

It was a really lovely way to end a long weekend together, and now hopefully things will be back to the normal routine as we head into a new week.

Did you get much snow where you are, or did it miss you too?
