I’ll be honest, I hadn’t really taken any photos of the children this week, other than their headshots that I try and take every day.
So, knowing that I had a living arrows post to put together for today I grabbed Nerys for a quick photo session on Sunday.
She had been at a birthday party and was all dressed up in her pretty navy party dress. But she was also tired, and a bit run down, and not really in the mood for having her photo taken.
I tried to get a few photos in the garden, but she wanted to stand it the bright, bright sun. I tried to get a few photos in the house, but she kept pulling her ‘photo’ face.
So we went back out in the garden, and she blew some bubbles.
Then she went round the corner, stood in a spot of gorgeous light, and looked right at the camera as a gentle breeze blew.

Sometimes you can create a moment for a photo.
Other times you have to just bide your time, and wait for the magic!

It’s a lovely photograph!
My eldest has just sort of gotten used to me taking photos while he plays but he never poses for me!!
Thank you! I think snapping photos when they’re distracted by a toy or game is often the best way to go about it! x
Worth waiting for I think!! Beautiful photo, it’s true what they say about not working with animals or children, sometimes they just will not cooperate!!! #livingarrows
I must take a million photo’s of the kids before I get a decent one sometimes. You managed to take a lovely photo in the end. #LivingArrows
Oh she is so beautiful. And what child doesn’t like blowing bubbles? It sounds perfect x
I agree such lovely light! Bubbles are failsafe way to make my kid happy too! #livingarrows
This is a lovely photo! Such perfect light! My posed photos never turn out very well, but Nerys is very photogenic! xx #LivingArrows
Definitely a magical photo, it’s really beautiful. I’ve barely taken any this week which is so unlike me, but it’s nice to have a rest every so often #LivingArrows
Oh that’s a lovely photo – I know what you mean about trying to get a good shot though, and sometimes they just happen when you’ve all but given up. #LivingArrows
Such a beautiful photo! I know what you mean about a camera face! I really wish I had never taught Monkey how to smile at the camera. #Livingarrows
