In case you hadn’t already guessed, I really love taking photos of my children! I love having that visual record of how they’re growing and changing.
So I’m really excited to get stuck in to the ‘living arrows’ photo project this year! You can read about the project on the Shutterflies website, but at its heart it’s a celebration of motherhood and childhood, and capturing those little moments you want to hold on to.
The name was inspired by this line from a poem by Kahlil Gibran :
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in to this project, taking a photo of one, or both, of my children every week throughout 2016. I know it’ll be amazing to look back on all the pictures at the end of the year.
The photo I’ve chosen for week one is this one of Nerys, which I think captures her just as she is at the moment, crusty nose, flicky hair and all!

Nerys is just beautiful Madeline! I’m very much looking forward to seeing you weekly Living Arrows posts! Have a great weekend.x
Thank you Ashleigh! I’m really looking forward to this project! Hope you have a great weekend too! x
