Until recently I was the proud auntie to just girls. Six of them to be exact. Now I have a nephew as well, which was a really lovely surprise, although I still find it odd to talk about my nephew after years of just having nieces!
One thing I’ve found over the years though, is how hard it can be to keep coming up with new and fun present ideas for all those girls. So, for anyone else out there who might be looking for some inspiration for what to buy a little girl, here are some ideas.

Unicorn stationery
Unicorns are so popular these days, there are even various recipes for unicorn-themed food popping up all over the place. There are all sorts of unicorn related things you could buy for a little girl’s birthday, but one thing that is particularly popular is unicorn themed stationery. There are plenty of unicorn pencil cases out there, as well as pens. For a gift with a difference, you could even buy a unicorn tape dispenser that dispenses rainbow tape. This magical gift is great for a kid that loves arts and crafts.
Colour-in make-up bag
These make-up bags allow you to unleash a little girl’s creative side. The bag comes with five different coloured pens that can be washed off, allowing you to keep recolouring the bag. This is a great gift for a little girl that’s just got into make-up, keeping a sense of fun.
Doll’s house
Doll’s houses have always been a popular gift for girls and remain just as popular today. There are many detailed models such as Melody Jane dolls houses that are perfect for that special gift. These kinds of doll’s houses come in all dimensions and can be accessorised. So your little girl can customise the doll’s house to make it look just the way they want.
Den kit for girls
The Original Girl’s Den Kit is just one of many den kits available to chose from, and would make a great gift for children who enjoy imaginative play. The purple tent makes a great garden escape for a girl to go and play with her friends. Den kits are also great for luring kids away from the TV and persuading them to use their imaginations. They’re also portable, so they’re perfect for taking away to friend’s houses or on holidays.
Personalised rag doll
When it comes to dolls, the personalised rag doll is one of the more popular and creative gifts available. You can get all kinds of accessories for these dolls, so that your little girl can dress them up however they like. The dolls are soft and handmade, making them a personal and cuddle-able gift as opposed to a plastic doll. There are all sorts of dolls available so there’ll be something for every little girl if you take a bit of time to look around.
Personalised kids jewellery
There’s plenty of kids’ jewellery out there that’s pretty and good quality without costing a fortune. Personalised jewellery is one sparkly gift that is sure to be appreciated. There are many companies that can create customisable named necklace charms and earrings. Also consider engraved bracelets with names in. Alternatively, you could theme a necklace charm or earring around an animal or colour stone that the little girl really likes. Avoid expensive gemstones and precious metals such as gold and silver unless you think the little girl is really going to appreciate it – most little girls will be happy with something sparkly regardless of how precious it is.
So there you have it, some fun and interesting ideas for the little girls in your life. I have a feeling I’ll be coming back to read this post myself throughout the year when I have another family birthday coming up!
