Whether you work full time or stay at home with your children, chances are there will be times when you find yourself needing a bit of extra money.
There are all sorts of things you can do to boost your income, but to get you started here are 5 ideas for things you can sell to make some extra money from home.

1. Clothes
Have a good clear-out of your wardrobe, keeping only the clothes that you really love and that make you feel good when you wear them. Then spend an afternoon photographing the rest and putting them up for sale on ebay.
If you have a few of the same types of items then it can be a great idea to sell them as a bundle, rather than individually. This works really well for baby clothes and children’s clothes in particular.
If you want to take this idea a bit further then try popping into local charity shops and seeing if you can find any great quality pieces of clothing at bargain prices that you can then sell on for a profit.
2. CDs, DVDs and books
If you’re anything like me most of the films and boxsets that you watch these days are streamed on Netflix, so it might be time to sort through that DVD collection that you’ve built up over the years that’s now basically gathering dust.
There are a few companies that will pay you to take them off your hands, along with any CDs and books that you don’t have any use for any more.
3. Old and unwanted jewellery
Have a rummage through your jewellery box and see if you have any pieces that you never wear and would be happy to sell.
It’s pretty straight forward to sell jewellery online, you can get an estimate of how much you might be able to get online and then a firm offer quoted to you when you post your items away. If you’re not happy with the offer then your jewellery will be sent back to you.
Gold in particular is always in demand, so it’s worth seeing if you have any bits of gold jewellery that you never wear. You used to have to head into town and find a pawnbroker to see your gold, but now a quick look online can tell you where to sell gold from the comfort of your home.
4. Crafts and printables
If you’re the creative type then you can look at selling your handmade items on Etsy.
Even if you’re not all that crafty you can still get in on the action if you have some digital design skills; printables of all descriptions are really quite popular and can be pretty fun to create too!
5. Your opinion
If you have some time to spare each week, then you can make a bit of money at home by selling your opinion on all sorts of issues via survey sites.
There are loads of survey sites that you can sign up to, and you normally earn points for each survey you do which you can then cash out as either money or vouchers when you reach a certain threshold. It’s also worth signing up to sites like Swagbucks that offer other ways to earn points on top of doing surveys, so you can cash out that bit more quickly.
Get creative
When you put your mind to it, there’s nothing you can’t sell, really. Just look for something you enjoy doing or something that helps you.
Selling clothes is great for fashionistas and those looking to get rid of some clutter. You can sell your ability to write with content writing, and even consider selling feet pics online uk for something a little different.
From doing small things like answering surveys at home, to bigger ideas like selling your old car, there are so many ways you can make money from home when you start really getting creative.
How many of these ideas have you tried to make a little extra money? Do you have any other ideas for things you can sell or do to make money from home?
