Living Arrows 2017 – 20/52

For most of this year so far I’ve been sharing a photo of just one of my children each week for living arrows.

I’m not sure why, it’s just the way it seems to have happened this year.

This week though, I’m mixing things up.  I have a photo of Nerys and a photo of Rhys to share, both taken while we were away at Bluestone last week.

This photo of Nerys was taken at the little playpark in the village.

We were really lucky with the weather while we were there, so we were able to go and let them play outside in the park on two different occasions.  It was a really lovely play area, with plenty of different things to climb on and swing on and slide down!

It was funny though, on our first visit there I felt that something was just a bit ‘different’ about this park.  Then I realised it was because there were far more grown ups there than you normally get at the park!  I suppose at home it tends to be the case that just one parent will take the children out to the park, probably to give the other person some peace or a chance to get some jobs done.

At Bluestone though, whole families seemed to be at the park together, which was really lovely.

Rhys’ photo was taken one afternoon outside our lodge.

We had a little picnic table outside, but because of the position of the lodge the sun didn’t reach it until quite late in the day.  So on a few days we went and sat on the grass, just a bit further away from our front door, to enjoy the sunshine.

It was just so lovely and peaceful there, even though we were sure that there were plenty of other people around it was always so quiet.

I wonder if it feels different in the summer holidays, or it’s that tranquil all year round!
