As part of our bedtime routine we all get into bed and read a few stories together.
The other night Rhys and Nerys got impatient waiting for me so starting reading by themselves, and it was just such a lovely moment. And I was so proud when I realised that Rhys was actually reading the book to Nerys; he’s learnt so much in the last year at school, it’s amazing!
He was reading ‘The dinosaur that pooped a rainbow’ to her, and as well as being proud of his reading ability, I was also really happy to see that Nerys is starting to get the hang of her colours too.
Next thing to work on is numbers I think, see if I can convince her that it doesn’t go 7, 8, 9, 12 which is what she insists is right at the moment!

I can’t wait for my boys to read together like this. I think it will be such a booster for my eldest and also great for me because they can read a few before I’m ready to read to them. Beautiful capture! #LivingArrows
