I sat down to do some editing the other day, and found myself looking for some music to listen to while I worked. Which led me to finally sign up for Spotify, and I have to say I really like it! After listening to some old albums that I apparently still know most of the words to (Natalie Imbruglia anyone?!), I started browsing the playlists.
About 20 minutes into one of the playlists ‘Chasing cars’ by Snow Patrol started playing, and it dragged my attention away from my work. I sat and just listened to whole song, smiling at the way he sings the word ‘here’ and generally loving the lyrics.
The chorus though, I really love.
Life is so busy at the moment, and there’s always a million things to do and thoughts running through my head. The idea of just lying down, with my husband, and forgetting all about the world for a bit is very, very appealing!
I think maybe I need to start doing a bit of meditation to clear some space in my head every day, hmmm, now that’s something to look into. I’ll add it to my to-do list!
One of my very favourite songs that makes me stop in my tracks and listen too. I think it’s quite haunting but so very beautiful. A gorgeous choice. I hope things calm down for you soon xxx
