I may or may not have already mentioned that my little girl turned two on Saturday!
As we all tend to do when our children get another year older, I’ve been thinking about how the last two years have just flown by, so this quote seems quite fitting!
To all the parents out there, have you felt like this on your child’s birthday?! Like you can’t quite believe another year has gone by and that they’re growing up so fast!

Oh yes Madeline my youngest was 7 yesterday. How did that happen? I love this Dr Seus quote and I’ve not read it before. Thanks for sharing! It is not really the passing of time that upsets me it is the forgetting of the little things that happens with the passing of time. I guess that is why I take so many photos.
Yes, those little details just slip away don’t they, unless you keep snapping away to record them all! Happy birthday to your baby for yesterday! x
This is so apt for me! My son turns one tomorrow and I’m an emotional wreck, it’s cliched, but it only feels like he was born yesterday! I’m going to keep this quote. #candidcuddles
There’s something huge about that first birthday isn’t there! Hope you have a wonderful day with him. x
Yes! I wrote a whole post about my daughter turning 3! “blinnk & it’s over” – as that’s just how I felt. Three is such a milestone birthday – she’s using the toilet, in a big girl bed – everything has flashed by so quickly. Happy birthday to your daughter! Enjoy this year & all the years as it definitely goes by far too fast. Thanks so much for sharing with candid cuddles x
The years really do go so quickly don’t they! My son will be 5 soon which just feels crazy! x
Ohh that makes me feel all emotional. I think with every milestone, new pair of shoes and extra mark on her measuring stick, I can’t quite believe where the time has gone. Did anyone find that time sped up after having little ones? Thank you for linking up to #candidcuddles x
Time has really sped up since I’ve had my children! The years are flying by! x
