I’ve written before about how important I truly believe it is to make sure that we exist in photos. Mainly so that in years to come there will be something for our children to find when they go looking to find who we were when they were young.
And getting in front of the camera more, as well as getting the shots of our loved ones, is something we always seem to plan to do.
But the thing is, we think we have plenty of time.
We tell ourselves that we’ll get round to taking that family photo tomorrow. That we’ll take them once we’ve been to the hairdressers, or lost that last bit of baby weight. We’ll do it tomorrow.
But, what if there is no tomorrow?
Who knows when the time will run out? And when it does, of course we’ll leave behind a lifetime of wonderful memories. But those fade, and shift, and change over time. Photos though, they’ll always be there, a tangible link to the past, a trigger to bring back those fading memories.
If there are people that you care about, capture them while you can. And, please, get someone to capture you while you’re at it.

You make a very good point. I am guilty of always putting things off until tomorrow including getting snap happy 😉 But these are wise words and I will try to remember this next time I go to put off taking that photo

I think we’re all guilty of putting things off, but I know I’ve missed photo opportunities in the past and really regretted it! x
Popping over from #candidcuddles =) What a sweeet saying. don’t put off til tomorrow what you can (should) do today. Come share your crafts, DIY’s, recipes & up-cycle posts at #2usestuesday (Mon PM to Fri PM) & your Pinterest pins at #Pinbellish (Fri AM to Tues AM) over at Sarah Celebrates if you don’t already!
I do like how the quote can be taken as a message for life in general! x
I love taking photos! I totally agree with your post. A year or two makes such a huge difference in a child & it’s nice to have the photos to look back on! I’m not in enough photos as I’m always the one taking them!! Thanks so much for sharing with #candidcuddles x
Becky, you have to get in front of the camera more, haha! x
