I went to put together today’s living arrows post, and realised that I’ve not really taken many photos of the children in the last week.
We’ve not really been out anywhere, with all of us feeling a bit under the weather and generally a bit lacking in energy.
So this week’s photo is from bedtime last night. After taking my standard headshot of Rhys and Nerys (I try and take one most days, it’s an on-going project), Rhys asked if I could take a few more of him. And he gave me this.

I do love me a nice shallow depth of field! I love the effect of just getting a glimpse of his expression, with the focus on the random hand gestures he was doing for me.
Hopefully we’ll be out and about a bit more next week and I’ll have a nice selection of photos to chose from. Only a few more weeks left of the living arrows project for 2016, I need to go out on a high!

That’s such a cute one! We’ve not been out and about much lately due to one thing and another – it does make it so much harder to find lovely photos! #livingarrows
Ah funny! We’ve not taken many either & the ones I have from weekend outings are very dark. My kids pull moves like this too! Lovely depth of field.

Hope you are all feeling better now. Love this. I think it’s so interesting when you can only catch a glimpse of what most of the time is the main feature. This is fantastic and works really well. x #lixingarrows
That’s a lovely one. We also struggle at this time of year. N goes out on the farm with his dad at weekends, so I’m not there to take photos, and during the week it’s dark and dreary. #livingarrows
It’s hard sometimes isn’t it? We all have those weeks where we don’t get out and about as much. This is a lovely shot though, I love the focus on his hands. x

Hope you’re all feeling better now. This is such a great and unusual shot!xx #livingarrows
I really love this photo – it’s so different to your typical ones and it shows his personality so well x
