I took a little break from my regular round ups last week, as I was away for the weekend for BML17. So this week I’ve picked out five photos that I really loved from my little #ShowYouWereThere community, instead of my usual four.
And without further ado, here they are!
First up is this smiley photo from Hannah over at HannahTasker.com.
I love her daughter’s expression in this photo, it’s just so cheeky! If anyone has any advice or reassuring words for Hannah though, to ease her worries about her daughter’s eating, then please do pop over to instagram and leave her a comment, I’m sure it would be appreciated!
Convincing this one to eat is a challenge. She is just not interested in food, unless it's covered in sugar or chocolate 🙈. We have tried EVERYTHING, and usually she eats the bare minimum. Then yesterday she ate a full meal (wonders will never cease!), had seconds, and then cried at bedtime because she was 'starving' (and so went downstairs after 8pm for more food!) Tonight we are back to usual, she has barley glanced at her dinner, eaten a small dessert and then gone to bed with no complaints… She survives on fruit and yogurt Tips & tricks welcome!
My second choice for this week is from Katy at Hot Pink Wellingtons. In the caption Katy said that she almost didn’t post the photo, but I’m so happy that she did because it’s gorgeous, such a joyful moment captured.
Almost didn't share this because there are so many things I hate about me in it, but then I look at the huge grin on Ben's face and how can I not? 😍 We've just arrived home from our holiday and it's that combination of holiday blues and being so glad to be home. Mind you, I'm absolutely shattered – holidays definitely aren't the relaxing event they used to be! Just got to get the kids to bed and then I'm going to be collapsing on the sofa with a welcome home glass of wine. Happy Sunday ❤️
My next pick is from Esther at Inside Out and About. I just love all the happy faces in this photo, and that unbelievably cute hat!
The fourth photo I’ve chosen for this week is from Wendy at Naptime Natter. I’m really with Wendy on the beach being my happy place, there’s something wonderful about sea air that just soothes me.
My bonus photo for this week’s round up is from Lucy at Mrs H’s Favourite Things.
I just think this is a beautiful photo of Lucy, her new cut and colour really suits her don’t you think! I’m also more than a little bit jealous of her teeny number of grey hairs, as I’ve been dealing with mine since I was 18!
*🍁🍂AUTUMN COLOURS🍂🍁* _____________________________________ Lately, I've been feeling "meh" about my hair. It just felt flat and dull. It needed warmth! ___________________________________ So at first I headed off to our local @officialrushhairbeauty in Tunbridge Wells to have it chopped into a bob with a sweeping fringe. Then this weekend I had an all over colour and some soft highlights. ___________________________________ It may not look like a huge change. But it has given my hair the warmth it desperately needed. And the colour is perfect for autumn and winter. In fact, I've nicknamed the shade as "conker" 🌰 ____________________________________ I've been hating on myself a lot recently. And that includes my appearance. This new do has really given me the lift I needed. And I feel good about the way I look for the first time in many moons. It also had the added bonus of covering the 7 grey hairs that my hair dresser found on my head!!!! 👵🏻👵🏻👵🏻 Not bad for 3 days shy of 39 years old!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who is using #ShowYouWereThere, I love seeing your photos popping up over on instagram, they always bring a huge smile to my face!
If you’d like to join in with my little community and possibly be featured in my next round up (with a nice link back to your blog!) then just share a photo of yourself over on instagram using #ShowYouWereThere. It’s all about getting more parents in more photos. And if you’d like to take part in my guest post series ‘The photo I’m thankful for‘ then take a look at this post or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
