Last week Steve’s brother was visiting with his family, from the Isle of Man.
Rhys and Nerys had a great time all week, getting to spend time with their cousins. We’ve all really enjoyed getting to know the latest addition to their family too, he is just gorgeous and really chilled out being passed around all of us!
One day last week we went out together in the morning, and then Steve dropped me and the children at their Nana’s house so he could get some work done in peace at home.
While we were there my sister-in-law asked Nerys if she would like her to put plaits in her hair, and of course she said yes! She sat so nicely, and so still, while these fab french plaits were done for her.
I’ve never really tried to do a french plait, but I’m so determined to learn how to do it now that I’ve seen how cute Nerys looks with her hair like this!
She always looks different with her hair tied back, and this particular style somehow made her seem so much older.
And then she popped these bright pink sunglasses on and was suddenly my little 3 year old again!
I have a feeling I’ll be spending a little bit of time on YouTube watching hair tutorials in the near future.
Nerys’ hair is really starting to get long now, and with school starting back up soon I think I need to get in the habit of tying it back a bit more. Hopefully having it tied back will reduce her chances of catching the dreaded nits, and at the very least will make life easier for her when she’s playing as she won’t be pushing her hair out of her face all the time!
Those of you with little girls, do you always tie their hair back for school, or do they normally go with it down?
